Welcome to the 2024-2025 Skating Season! While a current USFS membership is required to test or compete in all USFS sanctioned events above the Basic Skills level, there are many other reasons to join or renew your Silver Blades FSC membership:
- Eligibility to contract and walk-on Exclusive Silver Blades Club Ice Freestyle sessions at Bluhawk.
- Social Events – Access to club-sponsored activities such as membership parties, the Annual Banquet (no additional cost), and various exhibitions.
- Financial assistance to home club members skating at qualifying Regional or Sectional competitions.
- Never miss out on skating events, we send out monthly club emails and announcements of things happening in the rink or local area rinks.
- Ice Show Participation – develop your showcase skills and take part in the new Ice Show at Bluhawk.
- The opportunity to represent Silver Blades in competitions and events and help earn Club Trophies.
- Access to Exclusive Training Sessions – we are developing some off ice training opportunities for our skaters.
- Celebrate Member Achievements – Including tests passed, competition achievements (NQS, Showcase, State Games).
- Family Connection to other skaters and families.
- Team spirit at Local and travel competitions. Hotel Room Door decorating, group dinners and others cheering you on!
- Big/Little Program – Get paired up with another local skater to help mentor you in the sport.
- Becoming a Silver Blades member automatically makes you a Midwest Figure Skating Council member at no charge – providing opportunities to participate in Council sponsored seminars and exhibitions. In addition, MWFSC membership eliminates all association fees from other member clubs resulting in lower testing fees and other cost savings.
- A subscription to the US Figure Skating Magazine.
- Great club merchandise including Silver Blades Club jackets, t-shirts, hats, sweatshirts, shorts and much more.
